Let's be real. McMaster cares about their money. Yet, the financial reasons of why investing in the precarious fossil fuel industry hasn't seemed to convince them to divest.

So we're targeting one of their financial sources: Alumni.
In signing this pledge as a Mac Alum, we think you are doing the greatest thing for your institutition.

As McMaster alumni, you are calling on our University to act upon its values and confront the existential threat of climate change by publicly announcement a formalization of investment policy to include divestment, divesting for 0% exposure in a 1-year timeline, and finally, re-investing in the energy and technology we want to see thrive in the future—with community (including alumni) oversight.
